FALLUJAH – si separano dal cantante
I maestri del progressive death metal FALLUJAH hanno reso noto il seguente comunicato:
“È col cuore pesante che annunciamo che il nostro cantante ed amico Alex Hofmann ha lasciato la band. Un viaggio durato dieci anni termina qui per uno dei nostri membri fondatori e ci apprestiamo a prendere strade separate. La sua dedizione e la sua creatività sono state una parte vitale dei FALLUJAH nell’ultima decade, ma rispettiamo la sua decisione e lo supportiamo.
Il tour di ‘Dreamless’ è stato il più lungo e stimolante di sempre. Abbiamo girato il pianeta con band che rispettiamo ed ammiriamo, cementando il nostro legame interno. Queste esperienze ci hanno unito e ci hanno mostrato ciò per cui siamo fatti. L’abbandono di Alex ci porterà un nuovo periodo di crescita e abbiamo intenzione di offrire ai nostri fan qualcosa di terremotante.
Un ospite speciale sarà al microfono ai prossimi festival estivi europei e durante il tour nordamericano con DECAPITATED e THY ART IS MURDER. Una volta tornati in California, continueremo a scrivere il nuovo album e ci metteremo alla ricerca di un nuovo cantante. Vi aspettiamo al Bay Area Death Fest che sarà l’ultimo show di Alex, ma al tempo stesso un nuovo inizio per noi FALLUJAH”.
Hofmann aggiunge:
“È difficile e complicato spiegare i motivi del mio abbandono. Per iniziare un nuovo capitolo della propria vita, è necessario chiudere il precedente.
Il cammino dei FALLUJAH non si fermerà minimamente. Amo da morire i miei compagni e sarò ancora coinvolto nella band in un certo senso, dopo che la mia sostituzione sarà definita. Ringrazio il nostro manager e mentore EJ Johantgen, il nostro A&R Monte Conner e tutti di Nuclear Blast, i nostri agenti JJ Cassiere e Marco Walzel, Karim di Indiemerch e Florian di Impericon e tutti gli altri con cui ho lavorato dietro le quinte.
Grazie ai nostri fan per questi dieci anni di notti selvagge, stage dive, nasi sanguinanti, circle pit e sbornie. Mi vedrete ancora in giro. Il mio ultimo concerto con la band sarà al Bay Area Death Fest a San Francisco e non riesco a pensare a un modo migliore per lasciare la scena!”.
Il Bay Area Death Fest si terrà al DNA Lounge di San Francisco, CA il 20 luglio.
