SONATA ARCTICA – annunciano il nuovo album in studio “Talviyö”. Pubblicato il primo singolo e lyric video “A Little Less Understanding”

Il 6 settembre i titani finlandesi del melodic metal <strong>SONATA ARCTICA</strong> pubblicheranno il loro decimo album in studio, intitolato <strong>“Talviyö”</strong> (che significa “notte d’inverno”), contenente undici nuove canzoni.

“<em>Discutevamo di avere una fotografia sulla copertina e per fortuna abbiamo trovato questo pluripremiato fotografo Onni Wiljami, proveniente da un villaggio non distante dalla nostra città natale. Le sue foto erano semplicemente perfette per questo disco</em>”, spiega il tastierista <strong>Henrik “Henkka” Klingenberg</strong>.

“<em>L’idea era di creare un album che fosse musicalmente in linea almeno con i due dischi precedente</em>”, dichiara il cantante <strong>Tony Kakko</strong>, che aggiunge: “<em>Sono molto soddisfatto delle canzoni e dell’atmosfera generale del disco. Sento che ci sono alcuni dei punti più alti della nostra carriera qui</em>”.

“<em>Abbiamo registrato una manciata di canzoni che spaccano, ma abbiamo anche sperimentato qualcosa di nuovo. Sono felice di come abbiamo gestito il disco, ottenendo un suono più live e suonando assieme, anziché registrare le tracce separatamente</em>”, afferma <strong>Henrik “Henkka” Klingenberg</strong>.

Oggi i <strong>SONATA ARCTICA</strong> pubblicano il primo singolo <strong>’A Little Less Understanding'</strong>, accompagnato da un lyric video.

“<em>Dal punto di vista del testo, la canzone è una sorta di seguito di ‘I Have A Right’ e parla delle difficoltà di fare le scelte giuste nell’educare un nuovo essere umano</em>”, racconta <strong>Tony Kakko</strong>.

<strong>“Talviyö”</strong> è stato registrato tra settembre 2018 e maggio 2019 nello Studio57. Della produzione si è occupato Mikko Tegelman con i SONATA ARCTICA stessi. Ulteriori registrazioni si sono svolte in altri luoghi. “<em>Mikko ha prodotto il disco e ci ha spinto a dare il meglio, anche nelle parti più sperimentali. Lavorare con un produttore esterno è la cosa migliore che abbiamo fatto questa volta</em>”, dice <strong>Henrik “Henkka” Klingenberg</strong>.

Il mixaggio è opera di Mikko Tegelman e Pasi Kauppinen, mentre la masterizzazione è a cura di Svante Forsbäck per Chartmakers.
